GO SLOW!!! Read & Review all first please. Once you get the Author invite from Admin it will take you to the Weebly create an account page. Create your account. Then go to the Dashboard page. ((((BOOKMARK ))) that page. As an Author you will use that page as it has both the Website link to"Hockey Talk" and "Edit Website" link. Both of which open in their own tab. You will find that handy when you are posting an article. You'll see why later. For Authors the dashboard image may be somewhat unlike mine below but you'll get it. FYI ... Most folks just use the same user name and password as Disqus. No need to change as Weebly and Disqus are different. But that's up to you. Less PW'S are better? ![]() When you select "edit website" on your Dashboard it will take you to the build page. First ..... Select your device. (Image Above) Select "Pages" .... Select “Author/Editor” then select "Build" This will be the page you practice on for now. (Image Below) Scroll down and select " new post " Here's where you work begins. The elements on the left are " Drag & Drop. See below. Assemble your article then hit Post. #3 Do not close the build page yet. Now go to the site (in a new tab) and enter the Author/Editor page. REFRESH the page first. Inspect your article. If you need to correct anything go back to the build page, alter, then hit the "update" button. See the last image below. Back to the site and REFRESH the page again. If ok,, hit the X at the top left corner of the build page. When you feel you're ready to post on a page within the site, select the blog in the menu area you wish to post to when you enter the build page from the Dashboard. In this case you would select " Home " then " New Post " The "Read more Break" element below is used to minimize the article footprint when folks enter the blog and view its contents, ( Limits the amount of scrolling. ) Typically you would Post in this fashion. 1) Enter your title. 2) Drag and Drop a text element in the lower box. 3) Then type or paste the first line or paragraph of the article. 4) Drag and Drop the "read more break" element. 5) Drag and Drop an "image" element. ( If desired ) 6) Drag and Drop a "text" element. Type or paste your article. 7) Hit the Post button and review on the actual site after refreshing that site. For corrections. Which can be made at any time btw. I tried to make this as simple as possible. At first glance it looks a bit daunting but there is nothing like learning by trial and error. Use this practice page and see where you are. To make it easier i would get used to posting a few articles first then add the read more break element later. Your call. Mistakes will be made. If you need any help, Contact Admin on the “Home” page or the Author/Editor page using a shout-out. We are new at this too. ;) Good Luck and have fun. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated. *Crippler*
